"My spirituality and creativity are the core of what I am. My maternal Grandmother was a Southern belle who made things- quilts, fancy handwork, antimacassars, and my clothes. My maternal Grandfather owned a candy shop and invented things. He gave me my own hammer when I was 5 years old and a penny a piece to straighten old nails. They both told me I was very special, could do or be anything I set my heart on and I had been given a very special gift from God. I believed them! "
